MALAYSIA are targeting to win gold at the World Cup Woodball Championship 2020 (WCWC2020) scheduled to be held in Perlis from July 24 to 30 this year.
Malaysia Woodball Association (MWA) president Elaine Tan said she was making the prediction based on the fact that Malaysian players had improved over the years.

She was speaking after the signing of a MOU between the International Woodball Federation, MWA and Perlis Woodball Association (PWA).
The event was witnessed by PWA patron, the Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail.
Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Universiti Teknologi Mara Arau branch, Institut Pendidikan Guru Perlis campus, Kolej Matrikulasi Arau and Dataran Dato’ Sheikh Ahmad are the five venues for the championship which will be held in Perlis for the first time.
PWA president Emeritus Professor Datuk Dr Kamarudin Hussin said more than 3,000 players from about 20 countries are expected to participate in the championship.
“Among those that have confirmed their participation are Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea and Indonesia, ” he said.
