Kedah have admitted that they have not paid their players and officials since March.
The Kedah FA (KFA), in a statement, said they will, however, settle the salary arrears in stages with players and officials set to receive their wages for March by Aug 15.
The statement also read that the team management will discuss with the players and official in regard to salary arrears for April, May, June and July.
“A special finance committee will be formed to look into this,” said KFA president Sanusi Md Nor yesterday.
He said the committee will also source for new sponsors as the team need at least RM25 million for the remainder of the season.
“We also owe RM3.8 million to the Inland Revenue Board and the Employees Provident Fund (EPF).”
He added that the Red Eagles will play four warm-up matches in Selangor, Perak and Alor Star ahead of the M-League restart on Aug 22
