After less than a week Chong Yee Fatt took over Perak FC, he is surprised to see his team in good shape. The Malaysian took over after the Australian coach Mehmet Durakovic.
Yee Fatt, who started work on Tuesday, was expecting the worst considering that the players had faced Covid-19 uncertainties when they reported for pre-season training under former coach, Durakovic.
“I am grateful to Durakovic, who recommended me to the management when he decided to part ways due to family matters in Australia.
“However, I reminded them that we need to connect as a team ahead of the new M-League season,” said Yee Fatt
“Overall, I believe the players can do the job. They are doing well in training, and it is something positive.”
Perak will open their campaign against PJ City FC at home on March 6 before playing Sri Pahang (March 10) and Terengganu (March 14).
